Organize Tips for Email

Email Organize Tip 1

I wish I did this when I got started using the Internet.
It will reduce spam and general overwhelm. When you
subscribe to receiving information from various websits,
use a different email address than the one you use for
personal friends and contacts.

Email Organize Tip 2

Keep your personal email separate to your subscriptions by
creating a filter that sends every email you get to that
email address into a dedicated 'subscriptions' or
'registrations' folder.

Email Organize Tip 3

Don't be concerned about reading every email you get. You
can catch up when ever you want to. Unsubscribe from any
you really have no interest in or allow them to strore in
a mailbox for future reference.

But what about if there are important or time sensitive
emails? Set up filters for topics that are more important
to you. Read those ones regularly. We have to find a
balance between reading every single subscription email
we receive and actually living our lives, so use filters
to help prioritize things.

Organize Tips for Download Files

Downloads Organize Tip 1

I recommend creating a folder on your computer called
Downloads and then moving every single download file into
that one folder. Then you'll atleast know where
everything is.

Downloads Organize Tip 2

Set your download software to add anything new you
download into your main Downloads folder. And keep the
downloads folder in your My Documents. That way you'll
easily be able to get to it.

Downloads Organize Tip 3

Within the My Downloads folder create folders for the
topics of your downloads. Here are mine: 'Internet
Marketing', 'Main', 'Net stuff', 'Intelligence', 'Media',
'Cool stuff', 'Games', 'Other', 'Graphic Design', 'Network
Marketing', 'System stuff'.

Your own will be different from mine depending on your
interests, projects, etc.

Move your existing downloads from the My Downloads folder
into those folders. You'll soon feel a lot clearer on the
types of downloads you have. Most importantly, you'll be
able to find them again when you need them. Simple tips
that make a worthwhile difference.
