DO CATS MAKE YOU SNEEZE?

Even though he or she may be the cause to your suffering.
Cats are loved by all sorts of people and they really make
wonderful pets. However, some people suffer from itchy eyes
and runny noses whenever they are in the same presence of a
cat. Some people don't even realize they have an allergy
until they bring a kitty home, if this happens to you, you
don't have to give up kitty. There are many ways today that
will allow the two of you to live comfortably within the
same home.

One option is to add a HEPA air purification system to your
home. Remember, the hair of the cat is not the allergy
trigger but the dander. With this type of system,
ultraviolet lamps are used to kill mold that becomes
trapped in the filter. Then, carbon filters reduce odors.
The result is a home with up to 95% clean air efficiency,
which for the allergy sufferer this is great news.

Giving kitty a shampoo bath once a week can also help your
allergies and allow you to breath easier. The cat may not
like it much, and you may have to explain to your neighbors
who have called animal control on you because it sounds
like your torturing your poor cat. But after awhile, the cat
finally realizes this is happening whether s/he likes it or
not and you will be less likely to suffer from cat dander.

Another recommendation is to invest in a home steam cleaner
for you to use a couple times a month. They resemble a
vacuum cleaner but they can really help to keep the cat
dander down in your home. Steam cleaners not only clean very
well, they also sanitize, which also helps in keeping cat
dander away.

We also recommend that you have your carpets professionally
steam cleaned. Cat dander gets into the fibers of the
carpets, which for the allergy sufferer means an on-going
problem. When the carpets are vacuumed, only a portion of
the dander is cleaned. Prior to having the carpets
cleaned, use a fine-toothed comb to loosen any cat hair and
then vacuum well. In most cases, the cleaning company will
also use a special solution for people with allergies to
help with the dander.

If your allergies are really bad, your doctor can help
relieve your allergy symptoms with a prescriptionmedication
or even one over the counter may be all you need to help
you with your allergies. If these medicines don't work,
your other alternative would be injections which are
specially made by professional allergist. You can get these
injections in your doctors office.Allergies are nothing to
sneeze at, (sorry, just couldn't help it). They can make
you miserable and uncomfortable when an attack occurs. You
don't have to give up a loved family pet to ease your
suffering though. There are many natural and medical
treatments that you can do and take to control and relieve
your itching and sneezing. This makes everyone happy because
nobody wants to give up a beloved pet because of their
allergies and today, you don't have to.
